Ian IS Damon! As a fan of the books I was weary to watch the show since LJ Smith created it perfectly and I did not want it ruined. Damon from the start of the books has been my favorite and watching him grow to love Elena and now her starting to love him as well has been exciting. I thank Lj Smith for making such an amazing character and someone who we all have had so much fun reading about and following.

Ian is the perfect person to play Damon. At the start of the book series Damon was my least favourite person, i just wanted Elena and Stefan to be together forever! But now as the story is progressing, Damon is much more interesting than anyone would have thought. He really is a nice person underneath, especially the way he cares about Elena. Now, I wouldn’t mind Elena and Damon being together, as there is always a tension between them, a sort of link that suggests maybe they were meant to be together. Damon is definitely my favourite character, and i want to thank Ian for portraying so well!

Ian is amazing!!! Hes the one reason I can’t wait to see the show (when it comes back on March 25 ). I will love to see what the producers have in store for damon!!!

Ian has definitely captured Damon’s character to a T. I was a bit wary of anyone putting these characters on the TV, but when I watched it for the first time, I was in love. Ever since the first book, I have been madly in love with Damon, and just watching Ian portray Damon so well has just made me love the character even more. He definitely perfects Damon’s sarcastic, dry humor, and I just can’t wait to see how the writers will move along the relationship between Damon and Elena. Ever since reading the books and just visualizing the sparks shooting between the two, I have wanted that pairing instead of Stefan/Elena. I always thought that Damon was a much better match for Elena, and I really hope the writers will do something with that.

I actually started watching the show first before reading the book. And in the show I quickly fell in love with Damon. My friend soon got me into reading the series and my love for Damon grew even more. When I read it I imagined Ian as Damon. You can’t imagine Damon as anyone else! Ian is Damon! He portrays Damon perfectly down to even the tinniest thing. I think Elena has to become Damons Princess of Darkness. They are just soooo incredibly perfect for each other and intersting! I LOVE IAN!

Shadow of the Vampire is amazing. Good choice by Ian. Seriously, check it out guys. That’s if you want to see superb acting and a different take on a vampire that doesn’t involve glitter or rings or teeny-boppers.

I think damon has an amazing personality because he’s funny and jokes around so much, which i think is pretty awsome because he’s hardly ever serious, unless somebody tick’s him off =) that’s pretty funny to.

Ian is like a creature from my imagination. I saw the first episode and gasped. Heehee. In the books, up until The Fury, I was a Damon-Elena person. Then I was a mix between Damon-Elena and Damon-Bonnie in the next two books. I just finished reading the nine teaser chapters for Shadow Souls, and I’m a complete, 100% Damon-Elena person now. As far as the show goes, I’ve been Damon-Elena from the beginning. The last episode made me smile like a fool. I can’t wait for Thursday!

I LUV HIM!!! He is the perfect damon. in my opinion without him they wouldnt have a hit show! people like stefan but damons way better all the way down to his charming looks( which ian definetly has!) to his dark sense of humor which i can relate too. I live to watch The Vampire Diaries every Thursday night. And i am reading the books too. Damon has come a long way and i am glad that him and Elena are falling for each other they make a better couple. Wouldn’t you choose him?? Team Damon all the way!!! Great fan of the books here (and the tv show ofcourse), just wanted to say, the perfect roll for the perfect guy! Really Ian bravo for playing that role with such passion, its like the books are really coming to life! BTW this message is also for Paul and Nina ofcourse. You all make the books just come to life.

OMG!! I loved the books and Damon was always my fave character but when I saw the TV seiries I just fell in love with him even more. Ian looks almost exactly how I picture Damon in the books… wow!!
