The tables turned for Stefan after Lexi’s murder. Elena rushed to his side, but this time he pushed her away. Then he finally overpowered his much stronger brother Damon (hmm . . . was someone dipping into Lexi’s blood supply?). In one of the most intense scenes this season, Stefan skewered Damon with a well-deserved stake, though he aimed for something less fatal than the sadist’s dark heart.
Has little brother had his fill of revenge or is a new, more aggressive version of Stefan here to stay? More importantly, do you like his darker side?

At the end of last week’s episode Elena admitted that she can’t forget her true feelings for Stefan, but watch this clip and you’ll see, she has a rather chilly way of showing it. Elena seems to have decided that dating a vampire is more trouble than it’s worth. But maybe Stefan is an exception to the rule. Thanks to Elena's cold shoulder, Stefan is on the rebound, but his old flame Lexi knows just how to warm things up. After watching this trailer for tonight’s episode, it looks like Elena may have met her immortal match in Lexi. And maybe a little healthy competition for Stefan's affection is just what she needs.
