All eyes are on Mystic Falls for The Vampire Diaries season finale, “Founder’s Day”—and rumor has it, this episode has everything a true TVD fan could hope for. Will Bonnie’s little witchy lie come back to haunt her? Will Damon admit what Isobel made perfectly clear—that he loves Elena? And more importantly…will one of our favorite characters die!?!? The suspense is killing us, and the only way to get our minds off all this waiting is to develop elaborate theories about what could happen. Our favorite involves the Salvatore brothers in a massive fight that ends with Elena realizing that Damon is really the hot one (sorry Stefan!).

If you watched The Vampire Diaries last night, you know that Elena’s mother-daughter reunion left her in tears. Isobel’s maternal instincts seem to have died when she turned, but she is right about one thing: Damon loves Elena. We just hope that’s where her motherly instincts stop, because Isobel also predicts that Elena (like Katherine) is doomed as long as she has a “Salvatore brother on each arm.” It’s true that Elena’s life hasn’t exactly been safe and sound with the Salvatores around and history does have a way of repeating itself, but Stefan says he won’t let anything bad to happen to Elena. Famous last words?
Do you think Stefan can protect Elena forever? Isobel doesn’t. In fact, she wants a vampire-free life for her daughter. Maybe Isobel, of all people, actually has Elena’s best interest at heart. What do you think?

Tonight at 8/7c on the CW, The Vampire Diaries returns, and so does Elena’s birth mother. It looks like this mother-daughter reunion won’t exactly be warm and fuzzy. But what can you expect when your mother’s a vampire and your boyfriend’s brother is the blood-sucker who turned her? Maybe Isobel is just passing through in honor of Mother’s Day. Or maybe she’s the latest addition to Mystic Falls’ growing list of permanent vampire residents. If you were Elena, what would you prefer?

The latest episode of The Vampire Diaries offers some steamy moments between Anna and Jeremy, and it exposes Anna’s vulnerable side. Anna calls Jeremy her “weakness”—and considering how dangerous her life as a vampire is, weaknesses aren’t exactly something Anna can afford.
