There’s so much to love about TVD, but one thing that we obviously can’t get enough of is Stefan and Elena’s relationship. We might be a little jealous of what they have, but it’s fun to read about their romance and watch it unfold on the show.
Re-reading the series has gotten us thinking about more than just Stefan and Elena though. There are other characters we’d like to see together. For example, Bonnie and Damon … some would say that they make a great couple on the show.

I think it would be nice to see Bonnie and Damon together because Damon does care about bonnie like when they were in the car with the tree Damon was deterimend to save Bonnie no matter what! But i think it would be kinda weird to see on the tv show though… but who knows something good mite come out of it or if we know Damon like we do Bonnie mite hate vampires forever! You never know. I’m copying this from an earlier comment in response to the reference to Bamon (Bonnie and Damon.):
Let’s talk about Season 2. I read all the books and I am a BIG fan of the idea of Damon having romantic feelings for Bonnie. I hope the writers of the T.V. show get that in there. If they see this (Which I know they won’t, but it’s worth a shot writing this.), loosen the hate Bonnie has for Damon. Maybe make her show a little sign of attraction to him. Anyway, I thought it was so sweet in “The Return: Nightfall’ when Damon called Bonnie his “little bird” and saves her from death by giving her his blood. SO ROMANTIC!!! May I also mention that Bonnie kisses Damon 3 times. Once in “The Struggle” at Alaric Saltzman’s party when Damon is talking about folklore or something and says that kissing a redhead cures fever (For those of you who haven’t read the book, (Bonnie is a readhead in it.). Then in “The Dark Reunion,” Damon is gaurding Vickie’s house from Klaus and Bonnie gets out of the car and Damon comes out of nowhere, frightens her, and she nearly faints. After telling her that she doesn’t need to be afraid of him, he plants one on her! And then, in “The Return: Nightfall” Damon saves Meredith and Bonnie from the Malach under Caroline Forbes’ bed and Bonnie does the first thing she can think of to show her gratitude: she throws her arms around his neck and kisses him! I am a huge Bamon fan, but I’m just as big of a fan of Dalena. I can’t decide whether to say Team Bamon or Team Dalena, so I’ll say both: TEAM BAMON!!! TEAM DALENA!!! I think Damon could have both Bonnie and Elena at the same time (That would be SO AWESOME!), don’t you? Rate 5 stars if you do. Bottom line: I want to see more Bamon in Season 2 as well as Dalena. BALENA FOREVER!!! (Balena is a word I made up. It’s a mix between Bamon and Dalena.)

I don’t covet Stefan and Elena! No offence to all of you Team-Stefaners out there, but Stefan Sucks!!! Damon and Elena FOREVER!!!!! I’m a big fan of Bamon and Dalena, Damon and Isobel, Alaric and Isobel (Even though Isobel is more awesome with Damon, Alaric really loved her until Isobel erased all of his love for her.), Matt and Caroline, and Anna and Jeremy (Too Bad Anna died.

I think the aspect of Bonnie and Damon would be interesting. Both of them using their powers together for the better would be awesome to see. In the book Damon and Bonnie would be an okay couple but the book and tv show are just too different for it to work out. Tyler and Caroline maybe? That might be interesting. I think Elena and Damon would be a good couple, even though she is currently with Stefan, because Damon is more fun and would really amp up the drama for the show whereas with Stefan, Elena is just kinda playing it safe as far as Vampire/Human relationships go.

I would love to see Bamon happen in the show. Of course, they’ll be bumps in the way, but it’s only a matter of time before Bamon happens. Stefan can’t just not be with Elena, it’s obvious their soulmates. If Damon got with Elena, who will Stefan have…Katherine. Now that’s funny. It just wouldn’t be rigth. Bonnie can balance Damon out. Damon could use a woman that will stand up to him and make him always on his toes. Once they get on better terms, hopefully throughout season 2, their relationship can progress. Patience is key with me. So I’ll wait, until then some bamon scenes along the way won’t hurt. Every scene they do have together is always exciting and their bantering never gets old.

I’d love to see something happen when Damon and Bonnie. To watch their journey from frienemies to something else, something more. They have great chemistry and I like that Bonnie presents a real challenge for Damon.
also they are more evenly matched. He can’t compel against her or over power her physically or mentally. The actors rock it! Bonnie is not Afraid of him. The banter alone is worth 15 delena scenes.

I mean he answered Bonnie’s cring call for help in one of the books, and always seems to be silently looking after her to make sure shes safe. No one could be more right for him OTHER then Elena, but we know shes off the charts for the soul mate Stefen. So let me ask you, why NOT?

It has to be Bonnie and Damon, i just love that how they banter with each other the best couples hated each other but i am not going to list them on here but you all know what i mean (Gossip Girl).
They are the only reason i started to watch TVD but then i stayed because of the show turned out pretty great and i fell in love the characters such Elena and Caroline and Stefn even though Bonnie adn Damon are my favourites.
I just wish they become endgame and realise later on that they are GREAT for each other.
