Honestly, we went into “Founder’s Day” thinking that Bonnie’s witchy lie would be the undoing of everything and everyone that we hold dear in Mystic Falls. I was so scared when Damon was in the dungeon! The whole time I was thinking “No there is no way they would really let Damon die – no way! I’m gonna cry and scream if he does!” But then Stefan saved him and all was good. I was also very surprised when Bonnie saved Stefan and Damon because I thought that the reason she didn’t lift the spell was that she wanted them to die too.
I wanted to cry when Elena (who was actually Katherine) kissed Damon! I want them together soooo bad, but I also absolutely love Stefan and Elena’s relationship. Actually I just want Damon all to myself
The biggest shocker, of course, was Katherine coming back. I absolutely gasped and yelled out in shock when she cut John’s fingers off and he said “Katherine?” I can’t wait to know whats going to happen in the next season.
Another shocker was that Jeremy decided to become a vampire. I really did cry when Anna was being taken away from him and then when she died, I was just thinking “It’s not fair – everyone has been taken away from Jeremy!” So then I knew something drastic was going to happen, but I’m not sure that I like Jeremy being a vampire – I mean seriously people – do we need ANOTHER vampire in Mystic Falls? Geez, they just keep coming and coming.
And what in the world is Tyler and his dad? In the books, of course, Tyler is a werewolf. They weren’t using that aspect in the show yet, so I figure they probably decided to bring that into play now, especially in the season finale so we can all be left wondering…

I LOVED THE SEASON FINALE. I love it when Katherine comes back and kills John. BUT i wonder if in the next season, Katherine and Elena finally meet. i want them too!! I cried like a baby when Anna was killed and Damon said to Jeremy “I wanted to help her.”
AND OF COURSE, Bonnie saving the Salvatore Brothers. i was like, “Bonnie…don’t you hate them?” But then i was like “YAY.”

I’m not sure how I feel about Jeremy being a vampire. I have a weird feeling that next season we will find him in the ER getting his stomache pumped or whatever due to a second thought. We shall see though.
To Ella: I think they (the show’s writers) have been touching lightly at the notion that Tyler may be infact a werewolf. Think about his edgy behavior, irrational anger, etc that has been showing all season. I think they have been tip-toeing around the idea. For those who haven’t read the Series (YOU SHOULD!) it is probably a new twist in the plot for Mystic Falls!
I was slightly disappointed with the ending of the first Season. If they had Katherine in just for a few moments longer, it would have been so much better! I have been waiting for her return all this time. It’s a little upsetting that they waited until the very last episode!

Definitely the most shocking thing was when I thought that Damon was kissing Elena and she was actually kissing him back. I was like YOU BITCH!!! 10 min ago she as telling Stefan how much she loved him, she like repeated it 10 times and now she’s off making out with Damon?!?!?!?! So when John said “Kathrine?!” I was more releaved then shocked.
Also Anna dying… that was sad!!! But Jeremy wanted to turn for a long time now so that wasn’t a surprise, just that he’s doing it on his own.
I expected the council to try and use the weapon against the vampires and of course eather Stefan or Damon were going to get in trouble, I just didn’t expect Bonny to be the one helping them out.
And when Tyler’s eyes changed in the light I was like When the hell did he get bitten?!?!?! but now that I read your comments I get that he’s supposed to be a werewolf so that makes sence!!!

OMG great seaon finale! i was so sad that ana died. i wanted her and jeremy to be toghter :[ bonnie saving stefan and damon was a shocked it was nice but in my book she’s not off the hook yet its her fault anna died. and if taylor is a wolf which i bet there gonna do, ima be mad. im tired of freaking wolfs!!! if he is they better do a good job in him looking like a werewolf not some puppy.

Katherine is back woohoooo I love her bitchy attitude and the love between her any Damon,. It was such a surprise when she cut off Johns fingers until I he said Katherine. But Its the first serie ever that I cant resist watching.
That Ty was a Wolfy thing is a surprise (I just got to know it when I read the comments) If the writer does it well it can be a good third part element after Vampires and Witches.

I LOVED the season finale for 2 reasons and I HATE it for 2 separate reasons. I hated it because Anna died and I have to go a whole summer without a new episode of the greatest show EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I loved it because Katherine returned and Jeremy turns himself into a Vampire. I’m confused about the kissing scene though. Was Damon kissing Katherine or Elena? I hope it was Elena!

I knew it was Katherine. Elena would never kiss Damon and there was very, very subtle differences between them. Their hair was slightly different. Katherine’s was more framed around her face. Katherine’s shirt was closer to her neck whereas Elena’s was more low-cut and Elena was wearing the pendant that Stefan had given her, Katherine wasn’t. And the way she treated her Aunt Jenna. I knew something was up.

Bonnie OMG I was like why “why did deceive them” and then Damon being stuck in the basement almost made me cry! “They can’t really kill him he’s the best brother with attitude” and the when Stefan saves him I was like YES! but when Bonnie decided to help i was like “WHAT? i thought u hated they Salvatore brothers?” Tyler i knew he would be a werewolf and hopefully he is but it was sad that his dad dies and then Caroline drops i was like awe thats sad and Matt just has to deal with all the troubles and stuff. When Anna died that was such a saddening scene made me cry. “Now Jeremy is all alone so sad!” When John said to the cops leave i can take it from here i thought he was going to save Anna because he knew Jeremy liked her so when he himself killed her i was shocked! Jeremy now alone again it’s just sad they keep taking away all the people he loves and that makes my heart go out to him! When he decides to become a vampire it was like “WTF” all because Damon comes and tells him ya life as a vampire is easier at first which of Jeremy only heard ya life as a vampire is easier and now he wants to be a vamp cause he thinks life would be easier. I think he’s going find a way to get Anna back and then they’ll be together again.

Well! I thought it was an awesome finale! It really did have a lot of shocking things though I did have a feeling that it wasn’t Elena when she kissed Damon…somehow this makes me feel bad for Damon tho cause now he is probably even more confused over Elena and he was getting over Katherine (who I STRONGLY dislike). And now Stefan is probably gonna hear about it and there will be all this drama that’s not in the books but I still can’t wait till next season! I just hope they kill Katherine off and Stefan, Damon, and Elena can all be good again…just the tension between the three of them like in the novels (which are AMAZING!). As for Anna I was really mad like everyone else has said. I didn’t think that they would just do that to her that quickly either. And now John is dead too…and Tyler’s werewolf father…I just don’t know what’s gonna happen next season!
It is somewhat following the books now with the werewolf bit but everything else is so different that even if you’ve read the books you never know what to expect on the show.
In the end tho…my feelings are frustrated with Katherine, sad about Anna, and beyond excited for next season!

I was so sad when Anna died ): I totally loved the way Jeremy held her when she was in pain, and I really hated that they found her and took her away from Jeremy! And John killed her! OMG HATE HIM!! I was really happy when Bonnie decided to help Stefan and Damon, and I was like OMG and really happy and exited when Damon kissed Elena and she kissed him back! But then Elena cut off Johns fingers and killed him, and I was like wtf when Elena looked like a vampire! At first I didn’t hear he said Katherine, so I thought it was Elena, and it was so freaking wierd, because Elena being a vampire now? How could that happen?! Then Elena came, and then it was like, oh Katherine… Wait, WHAT?? KATHERINE?! WTF just happened? And when Tyler acted like the vampires did to that vamp weapon thingy, I thought “HE’S A VAMP, HE’S A VAMP!!?” But then I read all the comments and felt kinda stupid, because apperently he’s a werewolf… (Why is there always a werewolf, when there’s a vampire? [Twilight and Underworld]) (;
And what I think will happen when the next season comes, is that Katherine attacks Elena and wanna turn Elena, making Elena drink Katherines blood or something, and then Damon comes in and saves Elena, (btw he found out that it was katherine because of the way “Elena” kissed him, because he has kissed Katherine before, so he knows how she kisses, or something like that…) and then Elena finds out that she’s totally in love with Damon and stays with him instead of Stefan! (Damon won me over at the time when he danced with Elena in the Miss Mystic Falls epi

It. Was. Amazing. Bonnie knows who she is now and is in the right direction, but still HATES the Salvatores. Damon is still HOT and bringing new spices into Elenas’ life, which who doesn’t love? And then theres poor helpless Jearmy. Hes becoming a vampire, but who can blame him. From the advice and “push” Damn gave him he knew what he wanted. Whats life without your love. With Viki gone and now Anna, he eather wanted to be dead, or “turn it off”. What will Elena do? What person will Jearmy choose, the killing monster who hides everything they have as a known feeling? Or the hiding Vampire who knows whats right, but regrets his wantings or all of eternity? I am so excited to see the next season, and am desperate to know when it starts. With Kathrine back, will Stefen forget Elena and get his first love back, or even try KILLING Kathrine? as we all saw in the last part of the season finally, Kathrine looses all of her feelings shes ever had before. She killed Elenas father and as I observed she doesn’t even care for that life that was lost. I am stuck with the same question every one is having trouble controlling, WHAT WILL HAPPEN??

First off, WOAH! My sister and I were screaming for a good half hour afterwords. I think its safe to say the screaming started when Damon and “Elena” started making out on the porch. And what was Katherine’s plan if Jenna hadn’t said “I think its time you come in,” she wouldn’t have been able to cross the threshold. Anyway, I am very glad it was Katherine and not Elena. I’m an Elena/Stefan fan through and through and though the friendship between Elena and Damon (and Nina and Ian) is great, that’s all I hope ever happens. It would kill Stefan if anything else did happen and we just can’t have that now can we? Oh, and I think one of my favorite, less shocking parts that I actually laughed at was when Damon and the mayor were talking in the basement and the mayor asked Damon what he was doing there. “I’m a vampire what’s your excuse?” Classic. Cause in the mayor’s mind, Damon was the most innocent of the group, supplying the whole council with vervain. And as for the deaths in the show, I am sad to see Anna go and not so sad to see John go though that seems to be the majority vote here. I’m not a fan of Jeremy becoming a vampire though this could be because I’m honestly not a fan of Jeremy right now. And last but not least, Bonnie. I can’t decide whether I should hate her or love her. Right now I’m leaning towards like. She’s just trying to protect the town, and she saved the almighty Salvatore brothers. Good call on her part. And the witchy powers are just the icing on the cake in my mind… And now I do believe I’ve rambled enough. I needed somebody to share my thought processes with other than my sister. In reading the comments a few people have asked why Katherine would come back…..my best guess is that since Pearl and Katherine were best friends she probably wanted revenge on John for killing Pearl. Just thought I would throw that out there.

the most shoking thing is when i thought elena kKISSED demon and her aunt opens the door and tells her to come inside and she goes into the kitchen with her dad and CUTS HIS FINGERS OFF AND stabes him but then the real elena walks in so i was like OMFG ITS KATHERINE AHHHHHHHHI LOVED THE SEASON FINALLY BUT WHEN DOES THE NEW ONE START

I was so shocked that Katherine is back and Worried that Damon and Stefan wont find out in time. It was a big shocker thinking it was Elena kissing Damon when it wasn’t

I started crying a little when Damon was trapped in the fire I was thanking to my self ( OMG Damon can’t die here I wouldn’t watch the show if he got killed.
But I really started to crying like a baby when he opened and when Damon looked like he going to cry I started to cry worse thanking about still makes me sad and I could still cry if thought about it long enough :S.
I don’t like that Jeremy is going to be a vampire I would rather have seen Jeremy gotten got killed instead of Anna.
For second I thought that Elena was kissing Damon but when she cute off John’s hand and he sed Katherine I knew he was kissing Katherine and not Elena
. But I must say that when Damon and Katherine I was SOOOOOOOO JEALOUS when they were kissing any way it was pretty sexy

Taylor is a werewolf no doubt about it did you see hes eyes when the doctor was looking at them
all and did you see were Caroline went down and Taylor came back My point is here may be when werewolves die they have to take some one else’s life in order for them ( the werewolves) to come back to life. I know shes still alive but she has sever internal bleeding.
Twilight don’t even come CLOSE to The Vampire Diaries Twilight sucks and not in a good way but The Vampire Diaries ROCKS.

and they are AWESOME. But I do thank they should have mad Damon a little darker on the TV series .

Well I LOVED the season finale! I was pleasantly surprized that Bonnie helped save Damon – all I could think was “no, Damon can’t die, he just can’t”. I was saddened to see Anna be killed as I really think that Jeremy was falling in love with her. Now knowing she is gone, perhaps that was the final straw for him and hence gave him the strength to turn to the other side.
Well when Elena & Damon kissed at the end – I was thrilled! Thrilled until I realized it was Katherine! Don’t get me wrong, I adore the love story of Elena & Stephan….but the chemistry her and Damon share eventually has to bring them together in some way or form. I honestly did not know it was Katherine, until John said: “Katherine” and her face turned. Looking back I should have caught on, I mean Elena’s sister did have to invite her in the house and then she snuck up on John in the kitchen so quietly…total vampire style.
Well it will be interesting to see what the next season brings. And I’m in to the idea of there being some werewolves. The more supernatural, the more interesting!
Now what to watch all summer long until it comes back on?

I actually wasn’t shocked about that Bonnie saved Damon. There can’t be vampire diaries without him or stefan.
But I knew that Katherine would come back sometime. I acutally just waited for it. And I sort of already knew, that it was katherine, when she “elena” kissed Damon. Because of the things, that Elena said to Stefan before. But I was also surprised.
That was the best Episode of season 1, I gotta say. And I’m soooo looking forward to the next =)

I actually think the espiode before the season finale, “Isobel”, was much more epic than the season finale itself. Espically since Isobel added sooo much drama to the espoide, and then by the end we discover Bonnie really didn’t deactivate Emily’s device. But the whole sesaon finale espoide was okay, and alot of the events were expected. We knew Demon and Stefan and the other vamps were going to be in trouble and we knew they would get out safely (Come on they aren’t going to kill Demon Stefan!) I am really sad to see Anna die I really did like her by the end! But the last 5 minutes of the finale were pure epic drama. I was screaming at the TV when I saw Demon and Elena kissing. I was like WTF NO!That god it wasn’t really Elena! I’m really dieing to see how Demon is going to act now that he thinks elena loves him back! But I loveedd when I seen “Elena” (who was truely Kathrine) cut off Johns hand and kills him MAN THAT WAS AWESOME! I was sooo happy to see Kathrine this whole season has seemed to have her involement in the plot of the characters and yet she’s been a no show until now. The season couldn’t have ended more perfectly for the show. They ended it just right so it will leave fans waiting for the season two permier in September. I just hate that it ended like that because now I’m DIEING to see season two! Good job TDV crew, 5 star season!
